It is crunch time across Europe with titles, relegation and European qualification all on the line.
As we come into the most exciting period of the season, here are the 10 teams to have risen to the top of the LiveScore Power Rankings over the past month.
10) Atalanta — LiveScore rating: 85%
It has been a productive few weeks for Atalanta, who climbed to second in Serie A thanks to four wins and a draw in April.
That included a 1-0 victory over Juventus and a 3-2 success at Fiorentina — results that have taken Gian Piero Gasperini’s side closer to Champions League qualification.
No side in the division managed more than Atalanta’s 36 shots on target last month.
9) Real Madrid — LiveScore rating: 87%
It hasn not been an ideal few weeks for Zinedine Zidane and his players — yet they remained unbeaten in April and are still in contention for the league title.
Three wins from five in LaLiga, including a potentially vital El Clasico victory over Barcelona, were not enough to take Real Madrid top — partly because of frustrating draws against Getafe and Real Betis.
The impressive Karim Benzema added four more league goals to his tally, taking his LaLiga total for the season to 21.
8) Leeds — LiveScore rating: 88%
Leeds are not among the European clubs fighting for silverware or for a place in the Champions League.
But they were one of April’s standout performers, going unbeaten in the Premier League with wins over Sheffield United and Manchester City and impressive draws against Manchester United and Liverpool.
Marcelo Bielsa’s combative team have made the most tackles (19.21) per 90 minutes of any side in the division this season.
7) Liverpool — LiveScore rating: 89%
Liverpool enjoyed a strong April in the Premier League, winning impressively at Arsenal before a welcome home win over Aston Villa.
However, draws against Leeds and Newcastle sullied things slightly and damaged their hopes of a top-four finish.
The stats suggest a clinical edge is all that is missing. Ample chances were created but an average of 5.64 shots off target per game in the last month is by some way the highest in the division.
6) Napoli — LiveScore rating: 92%
Gennaro Gattuso’s side catapulted themselves back into the top-four race in Italy with a strong run of form throughout April.
A 4-3 win over Crotone kicked off the month before their only setback, a 2-1 loss at Juventus.
But Napoli responded, winning three of their next four, including a vital 5-2 victory against Lazio in what could yet prove a season-defining clash.
No side in Serie A managed more than Napoli’s total of 15 goals for the month.
5) Sassuolo — LiveScore rating: 93%
A slow start to the month ended with a scintillating run of form that saw Sassuolo cement their place in the top half of Serie A.
Roberto De Zerbi’s team won four successive league games against Benevento, Fiorentina, AC Milan and Sampdoria to end April.
They did it in style, too — completing more passes per game (635.33) than any other side in the league.
4) Manchester City — LiveScore rating: 95%
An unexpected home defeat against Leeds was the only blemish in another month of consistent excellence for City.
Despite Pep Guardiola’s side also being busy in other competitions, wins over Leicester and Aston Villa put them on the verge of another Premier League title.
City continue to set the standard in terms of goalscoring, with an average of 2.09 strikes per game this season.
3) Inter — LiveScore rating: 96%
The Inter machine rolled on in April, putting the foundations in place for a first Serie A title since 2010 before wrapping up the Scudetto against Crotone over the weekend.
Four wins from six helped Antonio Conte’s side maintain a sizable gap between themselves and the chasing pack.
And Romelu Lukaku was once again instrumental, scoring twice more to take his league tally to 21.
2) Manchester United — LiveScore rating: 98%
Manchester United picked up where they left off in March, storming to three wins from four and effectively securing second place in the Premier League.
A goalless draw against Leeds was their only winless outing, while last month was made even better by an emphatic 6-2 win in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final with Roma.
No team picked up more points (10) in the Premier League in April.
1) Sevilla — LiveScore rating: 100%
Perhaps the top performers in Europe in April, Sevilla have emerged from the periphery as genuine challengers for the LaLiga title.
Los Rojiblancos won all five of their league games in April, including a 1-0 victory over current leaders Atletico Madrid.
That took them to within six points of Atletico in what is becoming an incredibly congested title race in Spain.
